the genuine ones are about £35.00 for the pair available from dealers and specialists for and have a good locking system, tried a few alternatives for one of the hire companies and found some to be a poor fit, some came without the spoiler blade for the drivers side, and others had annoying squeaks as they cleared the screen,

Rick, I did ask in a post a few months back about the newer style of blade and sadly the post had no responses.

Do you know if anyone has tried to fit the newer style single point blade to an Aston?

It'd be a great improvement to the view out of the windscreen! Our current wiper is rather ugly and does fill a large proportion of the lower part of the view!

I may pop to Halfords this weekend and see if they'll let me try a few of the universal ones on for size.

I was a bit surprised that my post a few months back had no responses.

I managed to fit the newer style blade to my Noble which also had ugly big old style ones.

A quick post on the Noble forum about this with the model number and within a week I think 80% of Noble owners were sporting the new style.

I'll look into it and get back to ya'll smile

On my DB9 they were a bh to change so despite sourcing them on the net ended up driving down to HMW to have them fitted. Took 5 minutes but requires a bit of know how.

up to now only fitted the genuine, as they are part of the service every two years, they are a standard size with the drivers side being 600mm (spoiler blade) and the passenger side is 500mm, the universal blades do fit and come with adapters,

to change the blades is a bit of a knack, set the wiper blades to the 12.00 position, this is done by pressing 8 and 9 on the radio keypad, whilst turning the ignition on then turn ignition off, looking at the original clip there is a locking mechanism, you will see a small groove on the plastic clip using a small screwdriver flick the clip open then the old blade can be removed, quite simple once you have done i once, turn ignition on and wipers will return to bottom of screen,
