Did a few laps at Spa this week in the 355 and it was apparent once again just how crap the brakes are in standard trim. I could only do about 2 laps at a time before they started fading badly. I assume this is mainly just pad related - what's the consensus on a decent brake setup for the 355 (pads, discs + fluid) and what are the options for a whole system upgrade?

Other than pads, the car round spa felt simply beautiful. The handling on high speed corners like Pouhon and Blanchimont is super-sweet. The way the car squats down once you've turned in and loads up under power is amazing. It's a really rewarding car to drive on track - despite breaking my golden rule that "only a fool breaks the 1 tonne rule" when it comes to track day cars!

I'm definitely going to get the brakes sorted before I head back out on track though - any advice?

Castrol SRF, BF Goodrich brake hoses + a set of Pagids. Otherwise there are big brake kits.

BTW, have you stolen my 355??? wink

AP Racing do a kit for the 348/355.

Cost £1,800 and a really great peice of kit. 355mm discs with 6 pot calipers.

Whilst other ferrari's had to stop due to hot brakes and fade, mine just kept on going.
