not too much and thanks to them cocking up the original code when they uploaded the test files they didnt zend them so I have now got the unencrypted php files so I could use it time and again not that I will.

I know what you mean about slow start, some times it loads really quick other times not, I guess its down to both server and client side at times

oh and cheers! I've actually had to edit quite a bit of the php to get thumbnails to resize the same for landscape and portrait but due to the mechanism used it throws the landscape stuff off ratio for the thumbs. I suppose I could work the maths out but its the php I struggle with

It doesn't fit on my screen?

I'm not sure why though. The left hand side is dropping off, i get "Erman?"

and the left hand side of things is too far over?

Mr problem or one with the site?

ETA:

Ignore me- When i first went to the site the flash didn't push the "about you" section far enough to the right, i clciked through the site had a look around and then clicked on about you again and it came all the way accross again.

So i assume just a flash problem when i first tried to load it.

what browser and what resolution? I was having problems with right side drop off which is flash + xml for you but they recoded the flash file for me to let the scroller stay on the right

Being an American package its been designed based on the idea that veryone runns at 20000x1900000 billion pixels. I have tested on chrome, ff, IE7 and 8 at res as low as 1024x768 and it works so be interested to know your combination

IE7 running at a mighty 1152x864

I've edited my post - i think it was just a flash problem the first time - Possible a very slow load or flash got stuck (very possible on the heap i'm using here)

As nice as it looks the loading time and the music put me off so I closed the tab before I'd actually seen any images. frown

I think the music will alienate a lot of people.

try track 2 then wink

Music is very subjective I know but its why I chose an upbeat but not hardcore style.

strange how you all got slow load times its blistering here and I'm on a crappy line, I'll work at it and see if its possible by default to hae the music queued but not load

Its not particularly slow for me - infact its pretty quick. - i don't mind the music really, but I wouldnt' miss it if it went. I've never been a fan of music on websites.

But i keep getting the same flash problem with it not loading and sliding accross.

If i click on another link and then back on the about you its fine but when i first go to the website i get this.....

again not sure if the problem is my end or yours.

ok Dan thats the first I've seen that issue I'm going to suggest its your end as I've tested multi platforms here and a work with different browsers and flash versions but try it now I have added a 5 pixel padding to the site... I might also look at adding an alignment parameter to the flash file see if that forces things. Its odd as the whole site is based on flash, what happens however on the about me page is its xml inside php with html wrapped inside that!

But people looking at your site for photography don't want to be farting about choosing music clips... if you were selling music then it would be different of course.

Oh I do, I do but baby thats showbiz

I am working over the weekend on whacking up a new front page, one option for young fresh happenin peeps to enjoy a music rich environment. The other option is to view without music and in a world of magnolia wink

Even in my heyday I could never be described as fresh and happenin'!

All I know is when I'm listening to music and a website tries to play some other music over the top, my mouse goes straight to the big red X in the corner... Since however I'm hardly your target market, that may not be something you care much about.

Other than the music the site is slick and works well, if a little slow at first. I can't make my mind up about the Herman Toothrot bit, it's either inspired or something else altogether.
