You can't retrofit Isofix. It's hardpoints built into the chassis/structure.
I think most Isofix car seats can be used in the conventional way though?

OK thanks, My M3 has isofix and its bolted into place just as seat belts are, I assume Alfa weld there's in place then?..

Ah! Didn't realise some cars had them bolted in. I thought they were all welded in. Thing is, I'm not sure even the newest 147s have Isofix so there maybe nothing you can bolt in or bolt to.
Jamieboy has a new 147 so he might know.

I have seen some 03 147's with isofix so must be on options list... lets see if jamie comes along with an answer...

Just had a look under the seats, and ours doesn't have it. There's no mention of it in the owner's manual either, it just tells you how to secure a normal seat and recommends that you buy an official Alfa because it's been designed to fit properly.

If you're looking at one that claims to have it, I'd double-check. Shame if it rules it out for you, it's a great little car otherwise. smile

edit - I've just looked at the Alfa configurator too, and I don't see it as an option. confused Again, I'd definitely double-check any that are claiming to have it fitted...

Checked on ours today and we don't have any Isofix fittings.
It's a 2004 5 door.

You could try Red Dot or Angel Tuning.

Or just enjoy it as it is.

Don't know specifically about the 147 but on a lot of new cars, the isofix mounting points form part of the seat "chassis" itself rather than the car chassis.

It may be the case you could retrofit later model seats if that is the case.

I have bought one or two brand new isofix mounting rails off ebay - one was Ford and one was Volvo - cost around £20 each and they are bolted to the seat - presumably as a retrofit option. I plan to use these in my 105 coupe either welded/bolted to the chassis on a bespoke seat frame.
