whinning noise on my bmw please help

hi guys

i have a whinning noise on my e46 328i sport coupe it sounds like your typical wheel bearing noise but i have just jacked all 4 corners of the car and done the wobble test and there is no play at all on the wheels . i have no idea what this is now and i am concerned.

could be the diff, but still, worn bearings don't always allow the wheel to shake about.

if just a couple of the rollers in a bearing go, it can whine without generally having any play, which is a sign of all the rollers being worn down

Yh you won't always to be able to feel the wobble, hold the wheels and spin it one way then the other holding the wheel feeling for vibration through the wheel then spin it fast by hand and listen
