8" Wheels what ET?

Ok, I have decided to update the wheels and have decided on:

Front 7-inch x17-inch 215/40/17 ET25

and

Rear 8-inch x 18-inch 225/40/18 BUT WHAT ET??

What is the definitive answer this one, can't find it anywhere does anybody know?

225/40/18 doesn't seem right for the rear.

Would have though 245/35/18 is better.

An ET 35 should be about right.


What wheels have you got on now ? OZ's?

I am looking at the Pro Race 1.2 to see if I can save money over the SP12 route. If not, then I shall go the SP12 route. Thinking of putting the OZ Lattice Wheels I have on fleabay, wonder if there would be much interest in them?

225? I'm running 265/35 on 18's. That said, when we reduced the rear camber I did have to get my arches modified.

And they are fitting ok with no clearance problems? Did you notice any improvement in handling or traction?

Just took the wheelnut covers off the Oz Lattice and they say that the front ET is 26 and the rear ET is 33

Well we are talking TVR here!

It depends. People are wary of them because they are really expensive to refurb and because they are quite difficult to clean are often not in very good nick.
If yours are good then you really need to show it.

I ran 8x18wheels,ET 35 on my car.Sat about the same as the original 7.5 x16's.Ran 245/35/18'swith no problems what-so-ever.
