...having my 40k service (only 10k on the clock though) and they had a wagon with 5 or 6 black VXR8s being unloaded. I asked and was told they'll be going for around £24k (LS3) - VX can't be doing well if they're hacking £12k off list!

Bargain though - if you like that sort of thing wink

These have been cheap for a while. All the manuals have gone and they just have a few autos left I heard.

I'm a coupe man so I didn't ask any details - still, nice to know they're about. I was wondering if the Insignia VXR was going to kill the VXR8 but it appears not...

So Vauxhall are still going to import them? I thought this was the end of the line with the huge price cuts and the arrival of the VXR Insignia?

I was told a new V6 Turbo engine was on the cards, who knows ?, can't see the LS3 dropping much more, maybe the second hand price may stablise with luck.

Andy.

I think we'd more likely see more boat people than more V8s.

I`d expect to see a few more TBO. Sure Vauxhall committed to about the same numbers of VXR8`s as Monaros so rather than have them all in one lot they are probably staggering delivery to keep the manufactured date fresh.

Well thats what I`d do

(It`ll be interesting how they price them though, I`d expect them to go back up to the 33k mark otherwise the Insignia VXR looks way too expensive compared to the current VXR8 prices)

Have to admit though, from what I've seen of the VXR Insignia, it does look a rather tasty piece of kit and if it's as fast and more economical than the VXR8 then sadly the V8 could look rather redundant weeping

Having driven the std 2.0T 4wd Insignia and the VXR8 back to back round Brands I gotta say the VXR Insignia is going to be pretty special.

Cockney-Jez strikes again. :-)

Will be interesting to see what happens. So much has changed since the 'Ro period. Maybe up the spec and bring in fewer of them. The change of ownership of Vauxhall/Opel may mean all bets are off.
