Just reserved my Phase 3 Squall EDF Jet from the local model shop - due in 3rd week of August. Gone for the full 4S version with Vectored Thrust unit biggrin Supposed to have amazing capabilities, but I'll probably start with the VT unit first!

I'd expect with that thrust:weight and size it will dissapear into the distance quite rapidly...

Fine looking model, shame about the stickers.

Have fun!

That looks great. I used to have a fantom- also phase 3, but folllowing a slight pilot error it's now in bits the size of talcum powder.
For non edf folk, get a phase 3 spitfire- £55, just put your own receiver in.
Small, and so bloody quick.
Great models at a good price-phase 3 stuff is great.

I bought a Phase 3 EF-16 off a friend a couple of months back and had many happy flights with it. All painted USAF Grey it looked fantastic in the air. Unfortunately pilot error whilst inverted put paid to that model, so decided to 'upgrade' to the Squall!

Agree the stickers look a bit pants on the Squall!, but probably been designed to see the aircraft easily in the sky. Might consider a paint job if I can decide on one I like. Grey looks cool, but it's a bugger to see against the clouds!

Looks not unlike the remains of my cessna after this weekends attempt at flying (in slightly too gusty weather)

Hence why it (and a new in box one bought for spares but never touched) are in the classifieds along with the two helis frown

But I'm still keeping the f27 stryker http://www.hobbyzone.com/rc_planes_parkzone_stryke... for when I feel brave enough to take it out...

chaps, try gbdmodelaircraft.com.

They do a range of parkflyers for about £20 including motor.
12 inch span, go like fk, glide nicely, and you can ahem, trace them before assembly so another is easy to cut out.
Or try the parkfly ducted fans for similar cash- I'm building a lightning now

Edited as my fingers are too big for an iPhone (fking thing)
