T56 Transmission niggle

I have a T56 6 speed transmission on the back of a supercharged 4.6L 4V Ford Modular engine. Niggle is 3rd gear. Unless I hold on to the gear stick until the clutch is released it pops out in to neutral. The force required to hold it in is nothing and if i am really gentle it is possible to get it to stay in unassisted.

Any thoughts what might be adjusted or replaced. Would one of the aftermarket shifters help?

I had one in an old Holden which would do the same in Reverse if you didnt whack it in firmly enough. I think the synchro or something might be a bit bad. It certainly wont get fixed with a shifter though. If you shift it in firmly does it go further into gear?

Try The Gearbox man. I think they've repaired these.
