Just a quick question.

If a Noble is the GTO-3 2003 and it has a 5 speed gear box in it, will it be LSD?

I assume a 6 speed is more preferential though?

Do I need to worry about ECU upgrades?

A 2003 original exhaust is still rubbish I guess, and it would need replacing? What sort of cost and make would I be looking at?

Thanks

Standard 5-speed had normal diff & not LSD unless replaced by someone. No worries on ECU it will be MBE type and as for standard exhaust there are plenty of cars (probably most Nobles) running it so don't worry unless you wanna upgrade.

Everything I have read on this forum all point to the importance of ensuring the 5 speed gear box should be upgraded to LSD.

However I did read one person saying that the normal diff is fine. Is it an essential upgrade?

I would have said so. I brought mine (it was 4yrs old at the time) thinking I will change the diff at some point. 2 months later I broke it.

It depends how you are going to drive the car and lets face it, its a car to be driven hard.
