Fiat uno, Special edition so i was told, one of the 'formula' range. Mine was a formula 90. 900cc engine, could beat 1.2 Novas' in a straight line race.

The '90' what a beast!!!

Reanualt 17 in rust, with a bit of green paint. A one off custom interior in nicotine yellow, complete with exclusive ciggy burns and stale fag aroma. It featured the fuel efficient Renault 1.7 eco engine. Fuel efficient, because it would only occasionally start.
My mother christened it "The Little Scrot", which looking back was a bit too kind really.

Mine was a 1961 Mini (Austin Seven version). Being Austin rather than Morris, it had chrome metal window catches, red carpet, underseal and matt black roof over pale grey.
I smacked-up the front end, so chiselled off the wings and front panels and fitted a hinged front fibreglass shell. That made engine maintenance access a joy eg. adjusting the distributor points, for those that know!!
Replacing the cross-plies with Dunlop Aquajet radials transformed it!!

first ever car: 1974 Purple Mini Clubman 1000cc with two holes in the floor, rotten subframe, leaking brake master cylinder and had to be bump started on a very regular basis - ahhh, the golden days of motoring.

Had a go in one (1375GT) a few months back - feels more like a go-kart now compared to the 'Ro but brought back good memories (still don't stop too well though!)

Mk 2 Escort Mexico back in '86, in Ford "Carnival Red" (rare colour) RS2000 lump, Burton head, Kent cam, V6 carb, lowered- stiffened, full Janspeed, 4x Cibie spots on the front etc, etc! I never had a nickname, but a friend called it "The General" 'cos it was near as damn it the same colour as the General Lee! Got a pic somewhere, and actually still have the driver's door mirror and number plates,...all that survived! (Don't ask!)
