Sealant for dummies
Discussion
Howdy,
I've just got hold of some sealant but have never used it before so wanted advising on how to use it correctly to maximise its effectiveness.
Put simply, I'm not by any stretch of the imagination a detailer but I do like to keep my car looking good. I won't go into the various methods I use but I usually:
Outside:-
Wash car and wheels.
Dry.
Dress tyres.
Hand Polish using Autoglym SRP.
Wax using Meguiar's Quick Wax.
Inside:-
Vac.
Windows.
Leather.
How can I use the sealant to improve this? After the polish? Instead of? With a glaze? Help, I'm an idiot!

Wash the car thoroughly. Use a clay bar. Use a polish (the SRP will be fine, but your sealant may have a recommended polish as a 'base coat'). Apply the sealant.
Wash with pH neutral until the sealant wears off.
Then repeat.
www.detailingworld.co.uk or www.detailingparadise.co.uk are good places for more detailed advice and help (world is bigger than paradise but both deserve a mention)
