Might be a bit of a long shot but here goes...

Took delivery of my new Merc Sprinter (311cdi MWB) the other day, not mine personaly but the companies, anyway I digress. In short, my head unit (cd head unit, oem equip) on some radio stations goes quiet and then comes on again. Its as if it loses temporary signal. The other sprinter has the same head unit but doesn't have this problem. It can happen at different intervals for perhaps half a second, to a second and a half, then back on. Its really starting to do my bulb in now, as sod's law will dictate, its always seems to be when something important is about to be said. My old mans 51 plate vito also does this, but thats an old casset head unit.

I have tryed google to no avail and the handbook. Any suggestions?

Jim.

I've had loads of cars that do this - it does it if you have the traffic announcements turned on (usually a TA button). It really does my noodle in too. Turning it off is the only cure I've found. They usually talk bks anyway and are way out of date with the traffic reports so I keep it turned off.
