Is this a genuine shop?

Wait a few seconds - hence my question...

Sure is, my mum shops there as she lives in Delft.

Great idea, reminds me of the Honda advert of a couple of years ago.

Ha, that's a pretty neat way of getting people to scroll down the page to see your product range. Would get tiresome after a few visits, but as viral marketing tricks go its not bad!

I think I read somewhere that they are the biggest store chain in the world only to sell their 'own' stuff; no 3rd party brands, everything is designed and made by them and for them.
I'll see your 'Hema' and raise you 'Ikea'

... I was thinking about something like this the other day - PH posted a link to a french(?) website with a similar idea a while back - 2 chaps dueling all over the page..

Does anyone have any idea what the site might have been?

Rather entertaining in a french dramatique kinda way

As someone stuck in a Dutch B&B, and likely to be in one for another few days before moving into a rented place, its the most interesting thing I've seen in the country.

Actually, it's completely st. Because it only works if you have the bd fking flash plugin installed. So all I see is a blank screen with three links that do not work. A completely worthless site that fails to convey any information at all because they haven't used HTML like they ahould have done. Only a fking moron writes content in flash.

Yep, absolutely featureless desert with nothing to see or do here. Why o why leave leave wonderful vibrant Luton for a sthole like Holland? I'd give it up if I were you, you obviously put your best effort in.

Because it is a viral advert which would be almost impossible to re-create in HTML. The main website is here: http://www.hema.nl/ and works fine without flash, but isn't quite so interesting to watch.

what I want to be doing is cooking good food, sleeping in a kingsize bed, preferably with my wench next to me, enjoying my garden, going for a blatt in the Porsche, anything other than spending more time in a B&B or wandering round a small town getting rained on. I'll be fine once the useless fking letting agents here have finally sorted their end out so I can move into a rented house, but for now, I'm bored with the place. Could be worse, I once spent seven months working in Portsmouth!
