Rover k alterations

Is it posible to swap the liners, pistons, crank and rods (plus ecu) from a 1.8 k into the block of a 1.4 k ?

seems a lot of work, but believe they are interchangeable. Im sure the blocks were all identical, only the liner size and stroke were different.

The early blocks were of a closed deck design and can't take the 1.8 liners.
