Lowering a 156 1.8 Veloce - advice please!

I've just bought the car pictured below, and whilst i dont intend to mod it much, i would be tempted to lower it as it sits quite high. I had coilovers in my last 147 and i know thats probably the ultimate solution, but funds wont stretch that far.
Can anyone advise which springs would work well with this car - probably looking for a 30/35mm drop?

Yeah, coilovers are a bit steep so hydraulics are the obvious solution.
