July Photo Competition - Winners

[cirks]

A bit quiet on entries this month but still some good shots. I was a bit surprised by a couple from the discussion thread not being entered - for example Toastgirl's elephants and Paul911's wind farm, both of which I really liked.

Anyway, on to those that actually entered:

Honourable mentions to :
Mini1275 - nice panning and lovely generation of vehicle
Nurburgsingh - nice detail and a great PH name!
Toothrot and Nick_bbb- excellent execution as usual
DJ_AS - nice photo of the two generations

So,
In 3rd Place:
D4VE 3LL's jet engine. Not the only entrant of this type of shot but this has some smashing colours in it as well as nice composition.

In 2nd Place:
Davi's lovely shot of the past generation of racing. The composition, the use of B&W and the markings on the road made this a great shot for me.

and the Winner:
CivicMan's - silouette of an older generation. So simple but clever at the same time. Liked it as soon as it was entered.

Congratulations all.

Blimey..... thanks! Have never won anything in my life before, lost for words!

I shall ponder, over a cup of Earl Grey, a suitable theme for August and post later.

Thanks again!

[Mini1275]

Congratulations Civicman!
So when does the next competition start?

Well done Civicman

Well done CivicMan, and all who entered. Good choice of top three pics too.

Thanks for the mention cirks, but I’m away on holiday at the end of the month, so would have complicated things not being hear on the off chance of a win. Looking forward to the next one though. CivicMan can we have a holiday theme please

[DJ_AS]
