Arranged with the OH to go to a museum today but she was under orders that I have to see friends at 4ish due to it being one of theirs 30th which she has known about for 3 weeks
OH told me she wanted a lie in and she would ring at 11-11:45am to sort it, at 11:50 I ring her and she is fast asleep and get whinged at for waking her... WTF... I remind her that i have a friends 30th to go to at 4pm and wouldnt be late as i have been b
ked for turning up hours after i should have before.
Fast forward to 1pm and she rings to tell me her friend wants to go now but is not up and wants to go for breakfast first.
Then at 14:25 i get the phone call to get on the tube and meet them at moorgate she is bemused when i explain i now cant go... How the f
k she thought I was going to do that i will never know, its 35-40 mins for me to get to moorgate, then need to go to barbican to the museum and then need to get back down to SW london for 4pm.
So now im in the bad books for saying no i cant make it but wanted to THIS MORNING as i need to be in SW London in 90mins and dont see the point of going to a museum for 20mins before going back.
Apparantly I should have woken her up earlier (was warned not too) and should have mentioned the meeting at 4pm more... she will now join me if she 'has the time' later.
Other than being Male, how is this my fault and why should I be made to feel guilty for something that she put off til 3pm??

Happened to my Bil a while back. In the end he went to the cinema with a friend and she called when he was in the queue to say 'she was ready now'. He politely told her that he had no intention of picking her up as he had waited most of the day and she would now have to wait until he and the girl from work he was in the queue with had finished watching their fil. It was 12 months before she spoke to him again.
When back together he had the bare faced cheek to tell her she was driving with the handbrake on (twice) and she hasn't spoken to him since. I think he should have taken the cinema episode as a warning and ditched the selfish, uptight, disrespectful high maintenance 'lady' and saved himself 2 years of anguish and shed loads of cash.
But I do hate people who have no respect for my time by being late.
