hellooo!!

im hoping that you ph'ers can help me out for one night in august (thursday 27th)

as some of you may now i run a local car club, (charnwood car club) we meet once a week at the A46 hotel and have been enjoying very good turn outs over recent weeks.

now we have a member called declan, he is 10 years old and sufferes from muscler deterioration which affetcs his whole body and means he is wheel chair bound, it also shorters his life expectantcy to about 15, he is a very nice young lad who loves cars and weve been trying to help raise some money to help him enjoy what time he has left.

im hoping to organise a group of supercars to attend out meet for him, his dream is be go out in a ferrari!

so if you can help me out it would be brilliant, it doesnt just have to be supercars, what ever youve got be it a classic or a one off kit car everything is welcome!

cheers for taking the time to read this and i hope you can spare us a couple of hours to bring your cars down to us.

I've not got a supercar by any stretch but am planning on coming down and lending my support.

Have you tried posting in the Ferarri/Lambo section, you may get a response from supercar owners there. The TVR bunch are quite friendly too.

If you want i'll post a message on the Focus ST Owners Club and see if I can get a few more of us down.

I shall pop down this Thursday too and see what it's all about if I get chance.

My Ferrari is a bit unwell at the moment, but if it's back from the garage in time I'd be happy to pop down smile

Hi,

Don't really know whether it's exotic enough but I have Clio V6 and would happily come down for this, not to far for me to travel!

Will try and get over before this to introduce myself.

But it is BLOODY GORGEOUS!!! bow

Rusty old Mini and a TVR Chimaera are the only offerings here I'm afraid. Can't really compare to the utterly sublime offering above. hehe

Put me down for that, I would be more than happy to take Declan for a spin - I'm assuming its the Hotel next to the kart track ?

What time do I need to be there ?

I have a Red 348 tb and I'm sure my mate will be with me in his Blue F355.

all cars are welcome, he loves anything with wheels.... although his condtion does affect a part of his brain which means he actually cant lie.... so if he doesnt like the car he'll tell you!! was a very funny incident with one of members and his mint xr3i.

im really happy that you are getting behind us on this, i know one of the things he want to do is visit australia, so were going to try and help raise some cash for that, we'll just have a donation bucket at the meet so anything you can spare is a great help... also a chartiy car wash is on the cards for some point in the future.

about his condition i dont know the exact name but i can find out for you all.

im gonna have to look into the just giving page, it seems a very good idea, its also worth a mention that he knows nothing about this so it will be a nice suprise for him to see a very broad range of cars that he cant have a nosey around!

There's 5 ST's from focusstoc.com coming so far. Only posted the message in the early hours today so there will likely be a few more coming too.

Hi I also attend the meet with Jay and would like to thank all of you for your responses.

Declan has Duchenne muscular dystrophy which like Jay said is a terminal deteoration of the muscles, unfrotunately due to the nature of it, no one will ever be able to predict how quickly the condition will deteorate. He is car mad! And is a cheeky little monkey to be around!

With regards to parking it shouldnt be an issue as the Thursday night slot is our regular meet so the car park is essentially ours but we will double check that there is appropriate spaces for your pride and joy!

Thanks once again for getting involved!
