Sorry for all the questions but i dont know of anyone who knows anything about nobles, and i know little myself....

Firstly I need to replace the heater control valve, as the heater is just blowing out warm air. Wondering has anyone got a part number (maybe ford??) or know where i can source one?

Secondly i checked my ECU today and i was pleased to find i have the MBE ecu. Is there any way of knowing if the ECU has recieved the 340hp upgrade or is rolling road the only way?

Thirdly what does the track day sump look like compared to the origional? or is there any easy way to tell if I have one or not?

Thanks again
Steve

I can help with the third question, look under the car, if you can see the sump through a large cut out in the under tray then you have a TDS, if you cant then you dont! smile The TDS is a modified ford sump, so instead of seeing the cast aluminium shape you would see a flat piece of aluminium from under the car. (If that makes sense.)

Does the heater only blow out warm air even with A/C selected?. As I have found that there is only a small range (the last 4 or 5 left hand blue segments on the dial) that affect the temperature, all the other settings are just hot. However with mine, once I have selected A/C and it has run cool, then I can turn the A/C off and the temp stays quite cool. The heater control valve is noted for becoming quite stiff and can be accessed from behind the centre section. I am lead to believe that it can be refurbished/relubricated as its only a butterfly valve design controlling flow rate of hot water.

Heater control valve is a common problem, you need to get the car up in the air and remove one of the inspection plates for the tunnel, you will then be able to get to the valve.
Usually it doesn't shut off all the way, so you have to tweek the end connection a little, or just free it up to work fully.

Hi, yeah the mechanic and I have had the car on a ramp and have had that little middle section you speak of off the car. We can see the Valve ok.

Thanks for the details and I will pass them onto him so he can try to repair the valve.

The heater just blows out hot air no matter where the temp setting is. A/C makes no difference, its just hot.

Thanks
