The 271mm rear disc on the 1993-94 Griff 500

According to the bible 1993-94 Griff 500’s had a slightly different rear brake disc to later Griffs. Yet EBC only list two types, the (non-vented) Precat and the 500 1993 onwards.

It’s only 2mm smaller than the later 273mm disc, so hard to spot the difference on the car. Especially when the originals are worn and rusty around the edges. But I think I have the odd 271mm disc.

I’m trying to upgrade to match the fronts, which have grooved & dimpled disks. EBC quote the replacement part as GD558. Does anyone know if this later 273mm disc will fit the 271mm cars ok?

Inspecting my original parts on the Near Side of my 1994 car, I have noted the following numbers are stamped in the disc, following the word ‘Ford’ in an oval.
V89-BB-ZA 315AA
The pad is marked on the back, HI 901 4086 01/07
The calliper is stamped. 67821 052/4 3156 CN1
Can anyone tell what car these were from originally?

Searching the web for an answer, I noticed Ford now offer a subscription service to enable internet lookup of their parts by independent garages. Does anyone have access to this? It might solve quite a few questions about the origins of some parts.

It's the offsets that most worry me.

But there's very little clearance between disc edge and part of the calliper.

There's plenty of meat in the calipers if you have to file them.

Uncle Fester have you actually measured your old discs diameter yet and can you confirm they are vented?
