Maybe read the agreement?
Thanks for the help.It is not to hand at the moment and I want to book it in ASAP.
You're PROBABLY obliged to service it "in accordance with the manufacturer recommendations" which would possibly be OK for an indy using original parts, but expect them to ream you without any lube at the end if you hand the car back as the car is worth less without a main dealer history.

Servicing any car with an independent can by law not affect your manufacturer's warranty - so it is unlikely that they can force you to use any particular brand's dealer network. Please note that I am only referring to the manufacturer's warranty, not any extended warranty where they can dictate whatever they like (pretty much). Check though.....it would be interesting to find out what it says. Who are the finance people?

eH?The relevant contract here is the finance agreement. If that stipulates that you have to service it at the main dealer then you do!
If you have it on a PCP from BMW Finance, you MUST use a BMW dealer-it's in the contract and you will pay heavily at contract end if you don't. It's not worth the small saving you'll make today, trust me. Anyway, £250 for 20k/ 2 years motoring isn't that bad is it, or are you saying you can't afford to run a new BMW?!
