I appear to be getting a tickover of about 1800 rpm when the engine is warm. Its about the usual 900 when cold and then gets progressively worse. Has anyone else had these symptoms and what was the diagnosis ?

Sticky throttle?

New cable needed before it lets you down.

Had the same thing in the past few days. Thought it was the throttle cable at first but as you said wasn't ticking over fast when cold and the throttle cable was free. I found it was one of the cylinders pulling to much air in. You need to get all the throttles balanced. My number 3 cylinder was the culprit. (you need a syncrometer and the software). Reset everything and is running smoothly again.

Will get it into one of the local garages to have a look - One should have the equipment to sort it.

Turned out to be the pedal box being corroded. After 8 years of getting wet there has been a bit of corrosion and after a quick clean up and re-build, I have a running Tuscan again. The owner has a Ford, a Holden and a Jag which would embarass the T in a straight line but I suspect the T would gain a bit in the corners. Lovely bits of kit though !

Can you tell me what you cleaned and what you cleaned it with. I have my pedal box cover out at the moment and have cleaned all the grit and stones out and sprayed with lubricant but not sure what else to do.

To be honest I left it with the garage to sort out paperbag Too much going on at work to be able to spend the time fiddling. I will ask them next time I poke my head round though.
