Boot pops open

I am starting to get anoyed with the boot.

Some times while driving the boot just opens. It seems the boot is under pressure some how and it then opens. Any ideas?

I would guess the striker post is not fully depressing the locking mechanism all the way down. Adjust striker plate on boot (move downwards a few mill) and see if that helps.

Happened to me.
Is the roof in at the time? Sometimes the drivers side of the boot can be forced up if the roof is not as low as it can be.
I finally fixed it by undoing the screws on the boot underside retaining the male part of the catch and then lowering this bit a tad so that more of it went into the other part, doing it up again and trying it out until it seemed to work.
Before doing this mark the parts so that you can revert to original position if needed, tippex/strip of tape etc.

New latch is about £20, no matter how much i adjusted the old one i couldn't get a good close/easy click & when i did the body/boot gap was to big..

Good idea but wrong way around,, Move the sticker up .. if you bonnet is to proud obove qtr move down slightly.. If it is down to the stricker it means the lock isnt getting enough grip wich as i said move ou a small amount & keep move until right

Same method a maclaren SLR but a lot cheaper.....LOL
