Mk4 Ibiza - Drivers door wind noise

Hi All,
Picked up a Mk4 (2007) Ibiza FR recently, great little car with one issue of wind noise coming from the drivers side door >40mph. Its silent/non-existent on the passenger side but on drivers side very annoyingly there is a turbulent noise. Have checked the door and seals for an obvious cause but all looks fine, car hasnt been in an accident either.
Has anyone else got/had this problem and how do I get it fixed. Had a search around and this seems to be mentioned on a few forums but no-one has isolated the cause, also seems to randomly effect some cars and not others. If anyone has nailed the source please do let me know.
