Last night, we had friends round and were watching TG. When the Cool Wall came on, we knew the RS was inevitably going to get a mention.

However, when Jezza declaired the RS uncool (especially in green), my wife & friends just laughed at me. Uncaring bunch!

At least my order is for a white one tho'!!

LOL!! Jezza likes it really, he did say on the road & living with it daily, it's better than an R26-R, but that doesn't make it cool in TG's eyes.

I guess the Cool Wall should be taken with a pinch of salt.... just made me laff wink

It will never be cool. It's the XR3i of it's time - crass, max-powered, brassy. Doesn't mean it's not a great car but my guess is the people who think it "well cool" are in the younger demographic.

That's the way of the world. As a lad, I used to lust over the big-arched Mk I Escorts plastered in rally lights and the beautifully striped Mk II RS1800s. Except they really were cool. wink

Nowadays I would venture to suggest that subtle and understated are cool.

+1 yes It's not special enough to be cool. Although it's more than an XR3i. More RS Turbo +. It's just a production Focus after all. IMHO, to be cool, a fast Ford has to have been built solely with motorsport in mind, and by that I mean homologation specials. RS1600i, RS200, RS Cosworth, RS500 etc.

Although not cool, The FRS2 is an incredibly capable car that dishes out annihilating performance for the money that Ford charge new, whilst retaining complete practicality for daily duties.
