Since it seems like there could be a hole in the market for a proper car show (like top gear used to be), do you think Pistonheads could start their own TV channel on sky, and create their own show?

Ahh, but what might work is a soap opera/car show crossover. OK, it's never been done before so it may be considered a bit novel for the conservative TV bosses - but picture this: a young, smooth talking, womanizing lawyer driving a Morgan Aero 8; an irate boxer (presumably in an old-school Merc ML with chrome bull bar and sidesteps if the lot attending the 'fight gala' do's held next door are anything to go by)...

Having someone like "mybrainhurts" as presenter would be epic laugh

Although a superb idea IMHO, OP.

agreed

Also Von in the "law corner"

Soovy could run the "caption comp" so viewers could win a drive in something nice like flemke's Mclaren (was it ever his?)

in fact so many PH'ers could have sections it would never be boring

There are so many people on this site, and so many brilliant minds (along with some emmm, less brilliant), i don't think we'd ever struggle for content or new ideas.

Each week they could feature someones car, or car collection.
It would give them a chance to show off if they really wanted to.

They could cover track days, hoons and other meets.
Since very few people can make it to all the car shows accross the country it would be excellent to see a lot of the car shows getting televised.

100% totally agree with that!

Due to the ammount of people currently owning various different makes & models on PH, but with one desired interest that we all aspire to. Given this, more or less everyone would get a role to play in and I could never imagine it would ever get tiresome nor repetitive.

Another to add on the features:

Somebody to monitor and report on the topic for any changes, "Ambiwlans, has dumbing down gone too far???"
I believe the perpetrator of starting that thread should be given that role.silly
