Fed up of expensive 0845 and 0870 numbers?
Discussion
I Found a lovely loophole today. All or most companies with an 0845 or 0870 number, also have a number if your calling from Abroad (eg +44 01234 000 000). Vodafone charge me an extra 25p for these calls.
Drop the (+44) and use the normal area code and number. It works! I just moved house hence I've been phoning everyone from insurance to british gas today. Everytime I used this it worked!
Goodluck guys

Funniest thing is half of the companies which offer the "international number" have a restriction set on calls coming in from outside the UK - with me living over in the Fatherland these days there's been many a credit card issue or something else that's resulted in me having to call such numbers only to hear an automated answer that the don't accept international calls from outside the UK (kinda defeats the purpose)...
So my new way round is to call their international card fraud number, explain the situation and get them to redirect my call to the normal number...pain in the ring but gets me there in the end...
