Out of curiousity really, does anybody know who/where the speed 6 and ajp8 engines are made ? - I know TVR Power did the V8s, do they also build the speed 6/8 ?

Have any of you had any experience of supercharging the rover v8s ? There are loads of sites that seem to suggest this for the Rover v8 in Rangerovers/landrovers, but I've never seen any mention of TVRs.

I would have thought that the TVR Power version of the Rover V8 is a little too stressed normally aspirated to take a blower although I imagine sillier things have been done.

Placing a Rover 3.5 V8 in the back of a Fiat 126 for a start!

Matt.

The speed 6 and the ajp8 engines are both designed and built in house. Having said that I suppose that they may be assembled at TVR power as I think that they are a subsiduary company.

I may of cours be completely wrong, but I know that the engines are TVR through and through.

Years back, an old TVR dealer (Haughins I think) used to do a supercharged version of the wedges which were bacged "SX", rather than "SE". So it can certainly be done.

Recently, I saw a 4.6 s'charged Westfield at the Mech Repairs rolling road, which was next in line for the Mark Adams treatment, after he'd chipped my car. If you want to tune a Rover V8 (TVR or not), he and/or Tim Lamont (of ACT) are as good a place as any to start, Contact details can be found in Sprint magazine.

Have a read of this thread under the cerbera section. After the first 10 or so posts it gets very detailed on the subject your asking about.

Speed6 and AJP8 engines are assembled at the factory. TVR power in Coventry assemble Rover V8 derived engines.
