wedge headlights

Hi
what are the headlights and indicators off? and any ideas where i could get a o/s one from?

Side light/indicator unit is Peugeot 505, don't know about the headlight.

Headlights on my wedge are Cibie IODE, got a replacement from a kit car supplier, think you can get them with or without the sidelight hole. Mine were without. Sorry can't recall the supplier, but I found them in a Kitcar mag.

Headlight is Cibie 7in H4 - available most factors or here www.cars-gb.com/cibie.htm
Front side / flasher is Reliant (Realto?) or RT Racing had some plastic ones made.

Hold on boys....it's a 400 isn't it ?

Different lights altogether.

I've been told that the (square on the 400) headlights are from an Austin Allegro. I think Hillman Avengers also used them....I go that far back. .

Someone has probably come up with the correct answer on the forum somewhere,
So I'd suggest a search would be in order, or maybe give someone like Richard Thorpe a ring. He'll definitely know.

If you need the pod and all the gubbins, then a scrap car should yield one, but remember that the pods are DIFFERENT on the 400/450SEs than all other Wedges.

headlights on a 400 are from a metro

I refurbed my 350i the other year. The lights I found out (and bnught from ebay and renault dealers were:

Headlights - TR7 (including motor from TR7)
Front indicators - Renault 12
Rear lights - Renault Fuego (upside down!!)
Front fogs - Rover SD1

I need to find a set of right hand traffic headlamps for my car which might not be so easy. Even with dip beam I know I annoy oncoming traffic because I get flashed a fair bit.

I actually find the original headlamps a little on the dim side. The standards for brightness and glare are a little higher my side of the pond.

Hopefully they're 7".
