So guys, there has been a lot of new members/car changes recently so I thought I would stick this up again, there are a couple of us going to wave the HSV flag but would be great if we could have a number of like for like cars to see what they can don over a greater distance than 1/4 mile.

I know there were some tech probs at last years event, so before this thread is shot down in flames....I just thought it would be a good opportunity for us to run them like we want to Not just to compete.

I would really like to go up against a Bathurst S if any takers

Regards

Phil

I keep seeing threads on drag racing and 1/4 mile stuff.

i am a bit worried now.do these vxr8's do corners and circuits.or just strait lines.

Just strait lines, or corners sideways smile

If you mean cornering where the rear wheels are following the fronts, then sadly not. If you mean massively sideways with smoke pouring off the rear tyres, yes, they do corners biggrin

I could be up for this - providing I still have my car at the time.

What's the financial damage incurred by going to this event? Lol.

Really tempted to do this event, just 2 things that concern me, the 2h 30m drive and the 103db noise limit

noticed they've tightened up the rules this year. Would def like to go and have signed up but not clicked book yet as I'm kind of thinking 160+ in a car with 300 miles on the clock (time it gets there) would be silly

I did this a few years ago (managed 174mph - non HSV though) but there were I think three cars even then that did 200mph plus.

I cant make it myself, but can confirm it was a real hoot and highly recommended.
