I know it's been discussed a few times in the past but did anyone come up with a definitive alternative to the AP clutch?

I had a look through some previous posts but couldn't find any recommendations or prices.
Either that or my searching wasn't as thorough as it could've been. smile

Not much on offer for the 2.5's or GT03 but if you have a 3R or M400, Helix offer an alternative and have them available.

I have the 6 speed box with Quaife LSD so I would imagine I'm looking at the 3R clutch then? smile

yes Give Helix a call. I think the chap there is Jerry and very helpful. 01295 701076. They're cheaper than the AP ones as well if I recall correctly.

Just spoke to a guy called Terry at Helix.

He said that they don't do a replacement clutch for the Noble at the moment. They remanufacture the AP pressure plate and supply a new drive plate.
£103 to remanufacture the cover
£181.72 to supply a 6 paddle cerametallic sprung hub drive plate

I'm guessing that's all plus VAT as well

And I'd have to take the clutch out, send it to them, wait for it to be done and returned to me before I could get the car back on the road.

Looks like I'll be getting a replacement AP unit.

For standard torque rating, AP is obviously the way to go.

I went to Helix and had Terry build me an uprated clutch for my M500.

390bhp 400lbs/ft

So I'm assuming the standard AP unit would be fine.

AP will upgrade the pressure plate of you ask them

(they have done it for me in the past)

alternatively you can do it yourself if you can get the parts (AP may supply them)

Try it, you will get referred back to Noble, something to do with AP's supply agreement

They will only do that if you try to buy an OEM clutch from them, anything thats not OEM supply they can and will sell you, regardless of what its for.
