Are there any forthcoming weekend trackdays at Bedford?
Discussion
Bedford is my closest circuit, only about twenty miles away, and with its big run-off areas I think it would be an ideal place for me to get started with trackdays. Unfortunately, I get sod-all holiday from work, and there's little possibility of flexitime or early finishes to get to an "evening" trackday with a 4.30pm briefing session. Therefore I need to find a weekend trackday - I have found one in november but I don't want to wait that long! It seems there are lots of different operators using this circuit for trackdays, I have checked Motorsport Vision and Focused events, can someone suggest other websites that I could try?
My other concern is whether I should go on an open-pitlane day or hold out for a day with novice sessions etc. My only track time so far has been a Car-limits day with Andy Walsh, which mainly served to illustrate how little I know. My standard Mk1 MR2 is no ball of fire, and combined with my in-experience I am worried about braking heavily for a corrner that others are taking flat, and ending up with a GT3 in my boot! I know everyone has to start somewhere; I just don't want to be such a hold-up to everyone else that I spend all my time looking in the mirrors, moving over to let cars past, and end up having no fun!
