cop porgram on sky one tonight

Just flicking through the channels and stopped on this cos it was a copper chasing a motorbike. I don't usualy watch these kind of programs but I wanted to see what happed and if they caught the biker.
The bike was evading the coppers and he was riding dangerously then he crashed into a parked car!
Then the voice of the guy narrating said he was charged with riding without a helmit!
Erm what about recless riding not stopping for police and crashing!
whats that all about then anyone else see the program?
I don't believe it's actually an offence to crash... although the cause, or indeed the consequences, could be. Otherwise the courts would be full of dozy gits who've clipped cars in car parks etc. tonyrec said:

I'm sure you do Tony. But do you have an explanation of why he was only charged with not having a helmet? Has the program got it wrong?
