Nissan Skyline R33 GT-R

Hello,

I've been reading the forum for a fair while and just decided to sign up tonight.
Here is my Nissan Skyline. It's an R33 GT-R, I've owned it for around 19 months now and will probably keep this one a fair while.

As Skylines go its pretty much "stage 1". The engine, injectors, turbos, cams etc, are all standard, power mods include the basics of; exhaust and decat, air filters, boost controller (running 1 bar) and an Apexi Power FC which has been mapped by Abbey Motorsport. It was dyno'd at 360bhp and 314 torque (at the hubs). I have no idea about flywheel figures.
Additional mods include an Exedy Compe-D twin plate paddle clutch, HKS oil cooler, Tomei short shifter, Cusco coilovers and ARB's, K-sport 8 pot 356mm front brake kit, Hicas lockbar.... and much more too.

I compete in the Pro street drag series at Shakespeare county raceway. I won the 2008 street class title and have produced an 11.97 personal best, which I feel is pretty respectable considering my state of tune.

It's got 400R sideskirts and a 400R rear bumper, but it has a standard front bumper with the additional carbon splitter and N1 vents

Ah yeah The car has lost some weight, from memory that includes;

Door cards
Rear seats/rear seat belts
stereo and speakers
Boot trim
Rear parcel shelf and speaker grilles
Aircon rad, pump, condensor, pipework and belt
Rear wiper and assembly
Spare wheel, jack and tools

Thank you kindly I wish I'd caught a video of the dove as it hit my windscreen and slipped down onto the wiper blades

I've recently added a set of Toyo R888 tyres in 285/30/18 and I have a Nismo 65 degrees thermostat to go on, I'm just waiting to find out if I can fit my new (much bigger) intercooler and pipework without a remap, if so then that'll go on asap If anyone has any advice on that then I would be grateful. The pipework is the same diameter, its just better quality than the standard, but the intercooler is maybe 50% thicker.
I'm thinking that as the volume of air is the same, just colder, that this should be okay, but I don't know for sure.

Good spot. That white MR2 is owned by a friend and he works in the Teddington area. He competes in the Pro street drag series alongside me and if you've seen the car recently it now sits on very nice black alloys with red lips

the car is looking great and haven't seen it for a while as i haven't been on skylineowners.com much.

fantastic times you have achived there with very limited mods.
i must say after not having a skyline for nearly a year just seeing your car now is one of the biggest lures i have to return to the fold.
top work mate.
you still in high wycombe as well? would love a spin in it some time as we never got round to it.
