rear end ratio swap

I would like to swap out my grears in the rear end. I have 3.07 now and would like to go to something like a 2.70-2.50 any ideas? I am making to much power to keep the 3.07. I would like to just swap the gears and not the entire unit. Any thoughts?

I believe a 2.7 or 2.8 diff was available on some Jag XJSs.
