... that I can't remember much about, some rooms downstairs, some rooms upstairs, yadda yadda...

It's what's out the back that grabbed me bounce

40 x 15 (yes, FORTY foot biggrin) workshop. With pit. And 1 tonne crane on joist trolley. With permanent 3-phase electrics. Aaand 110V ring.... 5hp compressor, motorcycle lift, halogen heaters, double width roller shutter, high security locks, alarm, barred and frosted windows. With attached single garage and double carport, plus hardstanding for 12 cars.

Did I mention there was a house with it? biggrin

Nice find. I'm curious tho... what good is 110V over there? I thought everything was 220-240ish?

Yes, our single phase distribution system is 220-240v however when working "on site" all power tools must be 110v so most tradesmen only have 110v equipment powered from a portable 240 / 110v tranny. Its a safety thing.

The guy who's selling runs his business from there; he wants to retire. Maybe I'll make him an offer.

Anybody want some wrought-iron gates? biggrin

Right, house bought, change of occupation in the offing...?

Stacks of room and twin overhead chain blocks sliding on an RSJ should make body-offs a piece of cake smile

I have at least one gallon of jealousy juice.

I suppose that this means you will be getting more machine tools. Or will all the extra space be filled with TVRs.

If you get a Clarkson tool grinder then let me know, I will come and see you for a day.

Life sometimes chucks you a bone instead of a curve biggrin

More machinery... perhaps. More TVRs... maybe, maybe not. But more bikes... scratchchin

Just need to negotiate a price for the hardware already in the workshop. Off the top of my head: MIG, TIG, oxy-acetylene; bike lift; ring roller, 25 tonne press; 2 bandsaws; hydraulic pipe bender (roll cage anyone?); hydraulic shear/punch... oh, and a Kubota mini-digger biggrin

Where have you been, old Bill died two years ago! House was sold, you wouldn't recognise it now... puts my place to shame.

You shouldn't have any trouble selling your car, it's pretty good from what I've seen. It should be, since you've paid for one or two people's Spanish villas, looking after it wink

SteC's green 280 was sold, no details but the new owner doesn't seem to have popped up on here yet...

Yes, daft not doing it myself...just too knacked when I get in from work. Must be old age rolleyes

20 years ago I'd have had its constituent parts spread out across the garage floor a week after buying it. biggrin
