In the accident my the end parts of my rad got a bit bent. Anyone got any recommendations for where I can get it repaired?

Are the rads off a rangerover? If so, it might be cheaper to buy another one. I don't really want to cough up for an alloy one.

Cheers.

I personally wouldnt bother with an alloy one. There are pros n cons etc but in the past I have always come to the conclusion that a standard one is best. Andy at APM always sorted my rad recore etc.....
AFAIK they are a modified Range Rover one.

Just rang APM, he sends them off and charges £225.

Any reason not to go alloy?

After getting through 1 standard and 1 alloy rad with the MG, the old man had a custom alloy one made (ProAlloy) and it's far more efficient, better made and i'm definately going with them if I need one for the cerb.

Recore everytime, you get a larger, more efficient radiator than a standard one for a lot less. IIRC the Land Rover ones have an inlet or outlet in a different place, they are a TVR part.

What Gazzab was referring to is the fact that the standard rads are pretty muxh Land Rover cores. The end tanks are different as you have pointed out.

Alloy rads can be very good but are generally more expensive.

If you've got loads of dosh burning a hole in your pocket then get a nice pretty alloy one, otherwise get it recored, mine cost £120 from a place in Gloucester, but any decent radiator place will be able to do it.

I'll take a wild guess.....Guildford Radiators on the Little Mead Ind Est, Cranleigh.

They are used to recoring the TVR rads, not aware of any returns issues.

It might be worth asking them to uprate it - I think Landrover had a spec for hotter climates.

S G Motor Services in Surrey are a LR specialist that I guess should have rad recore contacts... they are on 07846 566313. Just south of guildford.

Yep that's the one.

Gazzab, I will ask them how much it is to put an uprated core in, but to be honest my car never gets overly hot and I don't really want it to run any cooler than it already does.
