Custom track day quiet silencer
Discussion
Just had one made up and it is currently undergoing minor tweaks, and will post some pics etc later.
However, it weighs less than half the stock Radical quiet silencer (c. 2.5kg) and is superbly well made. I was up at the factory on Friday and Phil kindly offered to put the car on their new rolling road to check on power impact. Results +1 bhp with the new silencer vs standard race can, but that might well be within the tolerance of the RR. At least it doesn't appear to be sapping anything of significance.
I took it to Castle Coombe on Saturday, tested at 98.5dB with 3 orange rpm lights, so I was allowed on track.

1500 fuel injected with latest map. Measured as 173bhp at the wheels which is a little down on around 182bhp they were expecting ... car's done around 10-12 track days and is due for annual engine refresh now.
The Turbo power plot looked very scary, 290 odd bhp at the wheels and coming in quite quickly low down the rev range! Backwards-into-a-hedge-tastic!
Got any figures for yours yet?

Thanks Andrew,
The reason I asked was to be able to compare the Radical power at the wheels figures against my TTS rolling road figures.
The TTS 1507cc ( bored & stroked )engine on rejetted carbs produced a best of 208 bhp @ wheels which would seem about right, as in Le mans earlier this year it was able to pass a couple of other 1500cc Radicals up the main straight.
The supercharged engine is a different spec, this is a 1400cc motor with special internals, it hasn't been fully mapped yet as it needs to be bedded in prior to some serious mapping and full power runs, but it has produced 243 bhp @ wheels at only 8250 rpm
The car is going to be on the TTS stand at the Autosport show in January then we will finish it off at Bruntingthorpe prior to doing any trackdays.
