Didn't come up in a search, so here's a thread smile
What did you think?
The helium filled balloon penguins were cool. Suzi Perry was looking good and showing a lot of leg and she had her kitten in the studio, I guess we are supposed to form our own doublentendres wink

Why does Jason Bradbury have to be such a lecherous tt? Is he trying to appeal to the gadget nerds who've never had a girlfriend and watch reruns of the Gadget Show with their pants round their ankles hoping for a glimpse of Suzi's thigh?

Whilst he can be a bit excitable, I think he's a pretty good presenter and is clearly has a passion for the prodcts he presents, but his double-entendres and dribbling over Perry are crass and make him and the show look stupid.

Sadly I think that's exactly what he's aiming it..

For me, The Gadget Show has joined the list of programmes that can only be watched with the use of my Tivo, so I can fast forward thro the crap.
So it only last 15 minutes at the most now...

I'm sure its partly John Bentley's editorial influence, but they seem to have gone down the 5th gear / top gear track of actually not reviewing very much at all, let alone properly, but it being about the presenters and their 'hilarious' adventures.

Shame....

Standard Channel 5 routine.

"Hello and welcome to the Gadget show this week [insert items this week] Now for a short break we'll be right back."

4mins later.

"Hello and welcome back to the Gadget show later in the show [insert items this week] and of course our marvellous competition prize, but now Jon.

Jon's piece......4 mins later

"Great news Jon, later in the show [insert items this week] and of course our marvellous competition prize, we'll see you after this break."

4mins later

"Hello and welcome back to the Gadget show later in the show [insert items this week] and of course our marvellous competition prize, but now here's this weeks challenge for Suzi & Jason."

First bit....5 mins later.

"We'll catch up with that later in the show where when we will also bring you [insert items this week] and of course our marvellous competition prize, we'll see you after this break."

Etc a thousand times.

standard any channel routine. Even BBC do it and they don't even have bloody ad breaks that could be used as an excuse!!!

It is by far and a long way the main reason I watch virtually no live broadcast TV any more. Including adverts you can guarantee that the average 1 hour show will have no more than 30 minutes of actual "new" material in it.

Wow! I didn't expect such a negative reaction, although listing the prizes out was very monotonous, plus I suppose the IPhone win was always going to be a foregone conclusion, the radio control car was nothing new and the autonomous penguins have already been done in fish form, but the show wasn't that bad. OK I admit it, it was Suzi's legs that kept me watching redface

I haven't actually watched the latest yet to comment on the show, it only takes 15 minutes if you fastforward the "coming ups" though so I'll get back to you on that later hehe

Jason seems to be trying too hard to be funny this series (although I still like him).

It's the same with Fifth Gear and Top Gear, maybe it's just not a great year for TV?

I just wished they wouldn't have spee impediments presenting. I know I shouldn't want that, but watching the News etc.. I just don't want to have to decipher what is being said. I know I've got my ticket to hell.

I desperately want to win the competition. I know I don't need 4 more TV's, 5 further cameras, extra games consoles, a couple of computers and a toaster but I really want them! Channel 5 actually has quite interesting prize giveaways.

The bald guy is a bit odd but he clearly knows his stuff. I just wish he would realise he doesn't suit "trendy clothes". The older guy with grey hair is also odd but I quite like him, seems to be enthusiastic about anything gadgety. Suzy isn't too bad for a lady probably over twice my age. Ortis (I think thats how he spells it) is ok, show would neither be better or worse without him. Certainly, I think, the presenters work well together without turning daft like some other shows...

The only grievance I have is the "coming up" sections which are just wasted airtime, much like what happens in FG.

He produced it too along with Fifth Gear.

Richard Porter, who writes Sniff Petrol, is script editor for Top Gear.

Has anyone worn out their Fast Forward, Rewind and Pause buttons at the start of tonight's show?
