Hi Guys,

Hopefully a simple fix for this problem..

Wife has a week old Carera Subway with 21 speed Sram gears. She always uses the front middle gear and adjusts the rear mech only.
When she goes to the easiest gear at the rear(large ring) it slips (presumably trying to get back to the next gear up).
All other gears are as smooth as silk.
As this is a new bike and has always done this, I am thinking it may be the limiter not set far enough over rather than the cable being too loose / tight.
I would rather fix this myself if possible rather than let the kids at Halfords all over it.

Any thoughts..?

Thanks.

Have a look on youtube. I had the same issue, watched a few vids and spend 45 minutes adjusting mine. Work a treat now. Saves me taking it 15 miles every now and again.

yeah, it will be a limiter problem, just a case of twidaling a screw, but without nowing the mech I couldn't tell you which one!

Thanks for the feedback guys. I had a fiddle last night, couldn't help myselfidea
I turned the 'L' limiter quarter of a turn anti clockwise and it was much worse, so returned to the start position.
Two clockwise quarter turns later and it's fixed.
