As per the title is there anyone who is racing at the moment who insure their car for races, not talking Porsches and Ferrari’s more your Golf’s / Peugeots etc. I may be fortunate enough to get a drive next year through an old sponsor, but would like to have an idea of what sort of cost a policy would be or where I could get one

When I used to race my own car I never considered insurance as if anything went wrong then I would just fix it myself and if I didn't have the time or money I would just miss a few rounds, but as I wouldn't own this car I would like (need!!) some cover

Dave, as well as being a PH'er, and racing in CSSC Tin Tops (e.g. grassroots); I also sell race car insurance for a living.

Contact details are andy.hancock@bluefingroup.co.uk or 01638 782202. Would be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Would wholeheartedly recommend Andy Hancock and his company, I used them last season and can tell you when I had to make a fairly large claim everything was handled extremely professionally and very efficiently, I wouldn't race without insurance again

As the guys who have already contacted me will tell you, I've said the same - for certain types of cars / series I would also recommend these two companies. Always best to shop around & see which Underwriters prefer writing which series at any particular time.

That said, most come back to us anyway wink

Dom - thanks for that. It's been too long without seeing you back on track. Got any plans?
