I've bought a flat to renovate and the lease states that approval must be sought for certain items such as lifting floorboards to replace/lay new cable.

I've written to the freehodler 2 weeks ago and not heard back. The others in the building tell me he's very awkward and it's tkaen them an age to get responses from him in the past. I phoned him today and he tells me he's dealing with it but is very busy.

It states in the lease that approval must not be unreasonably delayed or withheld and I need it in order to carry on with the renovations.

Are there any porperty experts who can advise me of the best way forward? I'm relucaact to risk aggrevating him, but need to get this renoation moving.

Thanks :-)

Did you really need to start a new thread when you already had this one running on essentially the same subject?

Is that sort of like a bricky member of the freemasons?

In my book, two weeks for permission is a bit too long. Your case may be strengthened if you are suffering because of the time frame he's imposed upon you.

Hi,

Thanks for your message. That's what I feel too. What can'should I do about it though? Is another letter requesting a response the best course of action or is there something else that I haven't considered?
