essential travel items
Discussion
I do a lot of travel into Europe and to Australia and New Zealand.
I need to get a good travel plug that will do everything, as well as USB, but any thoughts as to brand etc?
I am also tempted by Solar Monkey or something similar, is it worth it?
Anything else that I should be looking at including in an essential travel set?

Someone who does not get on your case to go shopping all the time
Lol, yeah, at least most travelling is for business so I don't have that issue, not that I do normally (err, hhmm, I mean ... hi dear)Tempted by the Powermonkey having had a friend who uses it, at just over £40 for the Explorer is pretty good value.
My essential kit is;
power monkey
USB extension lead
Small Torch (single lithium AA)
Fisher Space pen
USB stick with scans of essential paperwork, passport/driving license etc. Mobile apps for word processing/Spreadsheet)
4m length of paracord (useful for a "washing line" for steaming the creases out of suits and shirts in the hotel shower)and general tying of stuff
half a dozen releaseable cable ties.
this gets added to depending on where I am travelling to.

didn't think of paracord, that is an excellent idea, considering how much time I spent ironing shirts whilst down-under.
I assume that I could probably run my laptop, as opposed to charge up, using a powermonkey if it was plugged into the mains.
Nothing worse than carrying around a light laptop but a big charger ...

I know that this is dragging up an old thread. But I am looking for paracord now, to add to my travel kit, but where can you get smaller cuts from?power monkey
