One of fans stays on and wont stop with engine of

One of fans wont turn of when engine stops,the only way is to play or semi pull out relay switch. Any one had this problem ive been told it might be switch on the air con unit.? The engine is not running hot,the fans always come in when they suppose to. Can some one call me if you know please 07711919568 colin.

sounds like trinary switch...Had the same problem on the 2nd day after I bought the car. I thought that it would stop after a while, and left the car alone, only to come back 3 hours later to an almost drained battery.

The problem in my car comes and goes. It didnt do it for a month, but last 2 weeks been doing it again. Not sure what the reason is, but the air con is not it..
I have been also taking the fuse out to make it stop, and been meaning to replace the relays as it was suggested to me, but havent had the chance yet.
Let me know if you manage to sort it.. I am in Greece till mid-September, and the car is nicely tucked in the garage in London :-(( Dont trust it yet to drive it all the way to Greece...

been out in car tonight didnt have the air condition on and the fan never stayed on .?????Edited by duntus on Thursday 6th August 18:14

No, fans running whilst the ignition is off is a fused fan relay. The relay is slightly undersized for the current draw of the fan so the relay contacts arc and over time fuse together. Replace the relay and your problem will go away.
