Watch insurance for expensive watches.HELP !!!

Can anyone give me any advise.Just purchased an expensive watch,over 15k,and need it insured,but cannot find decent reasonable insurance cover.

Can it go on your house/contents insurance?

I'm sure I read before that someone rang their home insurance provider. They only condition was that it was kept in a safe?

Not sure if that covers you when you're out and about, though?

I've got mine on my house insurance, but have notified them of what i've got.

Reading the small print tells me i've got out of house insurance on them too.

Or as Soovy says, don't wear them outside.

Depends on the policy, best to read the wording or talk to your insurance provider. You can usually specify items over a certain value, which will also be covered when away from the home. Should be covered whilst worn but things like putting it in an aircraft hold with your luggae would be excluded.

Ahh, interesting.

Might have to do some investigating. Thinking of adding another one to the collection soon, so might be worth finding out.

I do a lot of work with Chubb via their Masterpiece policies. Their coverage and claim service is very good.

I refuse believe, even in this 'free' nation, that someone who cannot construct a coherent, legible sentence can possibly justify 15k on anything.

PS. speak to your household insurers, there is normally an extension available.
