HD or Technicolor?

Just watching a couple of ads on Sjy where you appear to get a few Technicolor clips in between more modern stuff. Which is better? Which would you rather watch?
Everytime I see good ol' Technicolor I just love how deep and rich the colours are. Makes you wonder if we have really progressed that far at all. Maybe the achievement is finally reaching (almost) technicolor quality for a fraction of the cost(?)
