Well that was a good day.
I forgot the camera and fell back on the phone camera. I’m sure some of the others will be along shortly with much better photos.
Carrie, (the Navigator-in-Chief to our group), proved conclusively that behind, (or in Nicks case, alongside) every great man there is a great woman. She stayed at home and trusted Nick out alone.
So Nick led the TVR convoy up to the door and went to whisk the occupants to the church. A shocked old woman opened the door. It’s not every day someone arrives in a TVR to whisk her off to be married.
By this time all the neighbours are out to see what the commotion is. Nick has probably ruined her reputation for life. Rumour probably is by now that she HAS to get married.
After a brief rethink and a phone call, we were off to the correct address. I collected the grooms’ father and we set off for the Church. I wasn’t to know he hadn’t been in a TVR before. The finger marks in my interior will hopefully come out.
The stand-up routine at the Church was cunningly disguised as the Vicar. He was hilarious. He even made the congregation promise to support the happy couple. We thought that with the combined value of Dan’s invoices that the group holds, we already do. When we didn’t promise loud enough, we were all made to do it again.
Kate was stunning and Dan scrubs up pretty well too.
Then we took them on to the reception and after a few photos and bidding them farewell and good luck for the future, we took our leave.

To be fair all I did was get the house number wrong, but without my mate sitting next to me it was bound to go a little pear shaped.
But we got the groom & his party to the church on time, then back to the reception, so it worked out very well in the end
