recently had a minor front end bump....all ok after repair then water in the oil. Into merc who have removed the heads.....not the gasket or the heads.Any further ideas?????

Does it have an oil cooler? Could be fractured.

merc say that it is an air cooled oil cooler.......so no water there!

block not tested yet, oil was not major bad but when replaced was back to being light malsified within day or so , although the oil in the filter was clear oil

The older Mercedes have a water - gearbox heat exchanger. If your car has one I'd start there for a reason you're seeing oil & water mixing
