Off Roading in a P38 recovery points?
Discussion
I have recently bought a P38. So far so good. I am however a bit stummped about recovery points. The rear is OK as I will attach a swivel recovery point to the towbar towball mounting plate and replace all the mounting bolts with high tensile ones.
The front looks like a bit of a pain however. The air dam would seem to foul any rope attached to a recovery point on the chassis. So the only option seems to be to remover the original recovery ring and replace it with something sturdier as I don't particularly fancy taking a hacksaw to the air dam. Am I missing a trick somwhere or is this the only viable solution?

Replace the lashing eyes with Jate rings... as shown here

As Freypal said the lashing points are NOT recovery points so don't use them. They are not strong enough. The RR Classic lower bumper surround could be removed as it was held on with about 5 bolts. This was a design feature and was in the manual. Don't know about the P38 but might be worth checking the manual.
